After the launch of the Redmi Y2, Xiaomi is planning to launch their new midrange flagship in India too. In China, the company has already started two phones with model names as Xiaomi Mi 8 and Xiaomi Mi 8 SE. As per the latest leaks the phone soon to hit the Indian market would indeed be the newly launched Mi 8 SE but with a different model name. It will be called the Mi 8i here in India, with the letter i symbolising the country. However, that’s not the only thing the company plans to bring to India. The newly launched Mi Band 3 will also soon be available in the Indian markets at a very competitive price. Now let’s look at the details of these upcoming devices.
Xiaomi Mi 8 SE (Mi 8i)
It features a 5.88-inch AMOLED display with a FULL HD resolution. The rear-facing cameras have a 5MP + 12 MP setup with a bunch of AI features. On the front, we get a 20 MP selfie shooter that comes with a bunch of beauty features and modes. We have two variants for this device, one with a 3 GB and another with 4 GB of RAM along with the standard 64 GB of internal storage. The most significant change on this device is the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 710. Inside the hood, we get a 3120 mah battery which is more than enough for moderate daily usage.
Mi Band 3
The Mi band 3 has a 0.78 inch of OLED display. But that’s not all because we get a scratch resistance, fingerprint resistant and weatherproof display. The battery inside this device is only a 110mAh, and that is enough to have 20 days long standby.
Price in India
As far as the pricing is concerned, the phone will be launched at a sub 20,000 price segment. And the Mi Band 3 will also be priced similar to the Mi Band 2.
