NRC Assam Hearing @www.nrcassamhearing.in: As we all know, the first draft of NRC came out on 31st of December,2018. Now the NRC stands for National register of citizens, and as the name suggests, it’s a list people who are legal residents of Assam. Now as expected, the first draft was not enough as out of 3.9 crore people only 1.39 crore people’s name came forward on the list. The rest had some issues with the verification, and these unverified people might be a member of a family or the whole family as well. Also, as per supreme court order, the complete draft will be published by 30 July 2018.

In this post, we are going to talk about the process as to how one can check if his/her documents are awaited to be re-verified. At the end of the process, one can even find out if he/she needs to go to a Gaon panchayat, lot Mandal or circle officer hearing any time soon. A majority of people have unverified documents so the errors in verification are being corrected through different hearings. You can find out about the need for re-verification using the ARN number.

Beforehand, the people were posted letters with the address, date and time where the person needs to be for re-verification. Now, this created whole lot of problems as some are unable to get the letter or time or receives it at a time when it is not possible to travel long distances to the given location. So finally we have this new initiative from the government to efficiently check as to where a person needs to be for re-verification.
Now in some cases, the NRC might come out as not applicable. This might happen if the ARN is not under Gaon panchayat, Lot Mandal or the Circle Officer. Again if the hearing of the ARN is not yet decided, it will come up as to be scheduled.
