Yesterday Samsung launched their all-new two flagship series devices Samsung galaxy s9, and it’s big brother Samsung galaxy s+ here in India. Considering the price for s8 and s8+ last year, this year’s pricing is comparatively more reasonable. Now coming to the price, the base model of 64 GB s9 is priced at Rs 57,900, and the higher variant 256 GB s9 is priced at Rs 64,900. While the 64 GB s9+ is launched at a price of Rs 65,900 and the upper variant 256 GB s9+ variant is launched at Rs 72,900. Now in this launch, the Korean company teamed up with three top network operators of India: Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone India to offer the best tariff plans to their customers. Let’s take a look at all these offers starting with probably the best of the three from Reliance Jio.
Reliance Jio Offer on Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+
Now with the s9 or s9+, a customer can get a Jio plan of Rs 4,999 which offers 1TB of high-speed 4G data with a validity of 1 year. This huge amount of data plan does not come with any daily capping limit and can be used anyhow within the year. The calling benefits are also unlimited for the entire year, and the SMS as per TRAI’s order is still 100 per day. Now this plan with the data on offer amounts to Rs 15,000, but with the s9 it comes at just Rs 4,999.
Bharti Airtel Offer on Galaxy S9/S9+
Now Airtel offers are quite a bunch of the s9 or s9+. Firstly there is something called the ‘Double Data’ plan. With this plan, s9 or s9+ customers get 80 GB of high-speed data for Rs 499 along with one-year free amazon prime membership worth of Rs 999. Besides that, a customer can also avail the 799 plan which offers 120 GB high-speed data along with the one-year prime membership. Now both these plans are indeed postpaid plans and will be activated on an Airtel number as per the customer’s requirement. For prepaid customers of Airtel, there is a monthly plan worth of Rs 199 which offers 1.4 GB data daily for 28 days along with free calling services. Now the above mentioned postpaid plans are only confirmed for the double data offer, whether or not the other postpaid plans from Airtel offer such double data feature is still unknown.
Besides the data, the customer also gets Wynk Music and Airtel TV subscription for free. Now there is another interesting offer from Airtel. A customer can make a down payment of Rs 9,999, and the new Galaxy s9 will be delivered to their doorstep. Then the customer gets a postpaid plan for which he needs to pay Rs 2,499 monthly for the next two years that is for the next 24 months. The customer will get the tariff benefits for the said two years. However, the details about the Rs 2,499 plan is not yet revealed by Samsung or Airtel for this matter.
Now the existing customers of Vodafone who purchase the new s9 or s9+ will get a one-year subscription to Netflix with Vodafone Red postpaid plan starting at Rs 999. On the other hand, for prepaid customers, there is an additional 10 GB on offer with the Rs 199 plan. The Rs 199 plan offers daily data limit of 1.4 GB with free calling and 100 daily SMS benefits for 28 days.
Now if you decide on purchasing the new Samsung s9 or s9+, then these plans will be the best to choose from. The Reliance Jio plan seems the best of them all, but the choice is finally up to the customer who owns the new device.
