Finally, after the other telecom operators, Aircel recently launched two new tariff plans for the Tamil Nadu circle. Both the plans are priced at Rs 154 and Rs 2,018. The Rs 154 plan is a tariff plan with a validity of 1 month while the Rs 2,018 is a tariff plan with a validity if 1 year. Now as far as the benefits are concerned, these plans offer unlimited local and national calls with 100 SMS daily. However, the data on offer from both these plans are different.
First Rs 154 Plan
The first plan on offer is the Rs 154 monthly plan. This plan offers 2 GB of 2G/3G/4G data with a validity of 28 days. As stated above, This plan also provides unlimited voice calls with 100 SMS per day.
Second Rs 2018 Plan
The second plan on offer is the Rs 2,018 yearly tariff plan. The company aims to keep the existing customers with this attractive annual plan. This plan offers 1 GB 2G/3G/4G data per day for 365 days along with the benefits of unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS daily.
Mr Sankara Narayanan K, the Strategic Business Head of Aircel South gave an official statement regarding these two plans. He said, “We have been a part of the lives of the people of Tamil Nadu for over 18 years now, and as a company, it has always been our endeavour to offer the best propositions and thereby value for the money that our customers spend. We at Aircel have rooted our offers with this as our primary focus and are committed to serving the customer of Tamil Nadu with the best in class offers and propositions. I also take this opportunity to wish the people of Tamil Nadu a very happy and prosperous 2018.”
However, a significant point to note is that Aircel’s outgoing calls in roaming area are limited to only Aircel network. Outgoing Calls made to any network other than Aircel is not applicable to these two plans. Thankfully though, in the home circle, the customers have the benefit of unlimited voice calls made to any network.
In comparison Reliance Jio, Airtel and Idea cellular offering Rs 4,999, Rs 3,999 and Rs 3,999 respectively yearly tariff plans, Aircel’s annual tariff plan is much cheaper. Unfortunately, there is no official news about these plans launching in other circles of India.
